Laser Surgery and Interventional Radiology

The field of fibro-optic laser surgery continues to grow at an exponential rate. Today laser surgery enters in many medical and cosmetic procedures. My interest in the application of laser surgery in the treatment of varicose veins has led me to be one of the forefront runners for its use in Laser Liposuction, the revolutinary technique in liposuction. In addition, the use of laser in the treatment of many diseases in the human body has touched on other subjects such as treatment of male infertility, female pevic congestion syndrome, certain cancers and many others.

Cosmetic lasers when appropriately used can beautify the human body providing a strong and effective anti-aging weapon. From hair removal to treatment of spider veins to skin rejuvination and resurfacing, we provide a nice "bouquet" of laser therapy. Added with appropriate choices of mesotherapy, Botox, fillers, PRP (Platelets Rich Plasma) and fat transfer, youth appears to be a long-lasting phase in our patient's life.

Interventional radiology provides many opportunities for minimally invasive therapy. I find myself most inclined towards some of the most challenging areas in medicine: Portal hypertension and treatment of acute and chronic portal venous occlusion and recanalization techniques (have performed a total of 42 cases in a one of a kind pioneering surgical-endovascular recanalization technique of the portal vein), percutaneous treatment of chronic venous insufficiency (use of laser energy for closing chronically refluxing veins in the lower extremities, uterine fibroids and liver cancer. In addition, I am particularly interested in the acute treatment of massive pulmonary embolism with mechanical thrombectomy and thrombolysis.

How do I mix both cosmetics and cutting edge medical therapy for some of the most challenging areas in the body? The answer is simply: Applying what we do best inside the human body to beautify its outside!
